Student Engagement with Peer Grading

Although there is a great deal of research that suggests peer grading is effective in students gaining a better understanding of the material, this may not really be enough for students to realize the value of peer grading and engaging in the process beyond the basic requirements to get a grade.

This can be used to avoid the charge by students that ‘they are doing our work for us’ or expending only minimal effort as they don’t see a benefit to themselves.
